Introduction to Women in Construction (17/5/25- 18/5/25)

An introduction to joinery, plastering, decorating and tiling. Led by tradespeople with experience of being a woman in a male-dominated industry. You’ll learn how to build a partition wall, plaster it, decorate it and tile it. Preparing you for DIY work or a step towards a college course in the trades.

What we’ll cover:

  • Health and safety

  • Power tools

  • Wall types and fixings

  • Introduction to Joinery

  • Building, plastering and decorating a partition wall

  • Tiling

  • Plastering

  • Painting and decorating

  • Routes into the trade and support

Running Saturday and Sunday the 17th and 18th of May 9.30am-4.30pm.

Unit 2, Hollybrook Place, Glasgow, G42 7HB

We understand that changes to plans happen, we’re a small not-for-profit organization and we rely on our classes being full. Please make sure you can attend the course you book onto.

Cancellation or change policy:

Cancellations up to 28 days before the workshop start date will be refunded the full amount. Cancellations between 28 days and 14 days prior to workshop start date will be charged 50% of the full amount. Cancellations of 14 days or less before the workshop start date will not be eligible for a refund
